Pastor Hood has been the Director of Church and Community Relations at Concordia University Irvine since 2013. He has his B.A. Communications, University of Washington, 1991; S.M.P. Ordination, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, 2013. He’s married to Kim, a life-long Lutheran school teacher. They have one son and one daughter. Pastor Hood enjoys music, reading, pop-culture trivia, Seattle sports teams.

Dr. Kramer began his ministry in 1959 after graduation from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo. His first assignment was to start two mission congregations, one on each side of the city of Santa Barbara, Ca., and to minister to students at the University of California at Santa Barbara. From its founding he served Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goleta for 26 years. In 1985 he was elected president of the Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and served in that capacity until he retired in 2000. He is a native of Kansas, and graduated from St. John’s College in Winfield, Kansas in 1954 and from Concordia Seminary in 1959. He was granted an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Concordia University Irvine in 1988.

For the past 17 years he has served part time as the Special Assistant to the President for Congregational Relations at Concordia University Irvine. During that stint he served as interim president of Concordia University for the academic year 2009 -2010. In addition, he served as chairman of the Commission of Theology and Church Relations of the Lutheran Church -Missouri Synod from 2001 to 2010. Dr. Kramer and his wife Arlene will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on July 6th – Congratulations!
 
Chaplain Crossan hails from Long Beach and was ordained in 1982. After being commissioned as a lieutenant junior grade in 1984, he attended Naval Chaplains School in Rhode Island. He entered active-duty service in 1985 and started his career in Japan. He was promoted to the rank of captain in 2003 and, after several tours of service, he reported to Camp Pendleton in 2009 to serve as group chaplain. He has been decorated with the Meritorious Service, Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement medals as well as various other service and campaign medals and ribbons.
