Lying Means Roar
Lying Means Roar. Do you ever feel like you are being sabotaged? As Jesus followers, we have a real enemy. In order to defeat him we must first recognize his tactics... My Next Steps: - I will stop trying to prove my worth (sin of pride) before God. - I will cast all my worries and anxiety on God—and leave them with Him! - I will refuse to believe the lie that God is not there or that He doesn’t care. - I will seek to view my trials as God preparing me for a future work. - I will not accept this world’s blessings in place of God’s eternal glory to be revealed. Like Your Life Depends on It
    What is your purpose? We were all created with a part to play in glorifying God. In good times and bad, you are uniquely positioned to speak and serve ...

    My Next Step(s):
    - I will pray without ceasing—being in a continual dialogue with God.
    - I will remain connected to Christ, rather than strain to achieve by my own strength.
    - I will resist isolation and strive for community where I love and am loved.
    - I will discover my part in the Body of Christ, and use my gifts to serve others.
    - I will rejoice in my struggles as participating in the sufferings of Christ.

    The Order is Everything
    The Order is Everything: When life is going terribly wrong, do you still trust God has a plan? He is a God of order. Set your eyes on Him and let your story tell of His faithfulness... My Next Step(s): - I will live eager to do good, rather than reactively respond in anger. - Even when being mistreated, I will remember that I am blessed. - I will reverently fear God, rather than fearing those who threaten me. - I will prepare my testimony by walking close to God—adoring Him. - I will live in a way that invites others to ask me about the hope I have in Christ. Where Beauty Comes From
    God wants your marriage to thrive. Peter kindly shares a few simple guidelines for how you can tap into the beauty God intended for you within your marriage.  In fact, there is beauty to be found in all of our human relationships ... My Next Step(s): - I will not judge others, but instead seek to understand their perspective. - I will do my best to respond in grace rather than retaliation. - I will hold my tongue instead of responding in anger. - I will submit to my spouse, out of reverence for Christ. - I will strive for inner beauty, rather than outward appearances. Home Away From Home
    Where do you belong? One of the greatest gifts we have in Christ is our promise of a home in Heaven. Until then, our home is found in the Church! My Next Step(s): - I won’t try to “Grow it alone.” I’ll get connected to a group to study God’s Word. - I will seek to be used for God for a greater purpose than I can do on my own. - I will give God a “stone cold dead” thing in my life, and allow Him to bring it to life. - I will rid my life of all deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind. - I will welcome everyone I can into the family of God - His Church. Love While You Can
    Trials feel long lasting, but our time is short. Choose to set your minds on things above, keep your eyes towards Jesus, and love people all the while. … Dawn is coming! My Next Step(s): - I will “prepare my mind for action” by tuning in to God’s Word each day - I will “be realistically hopeful” knowing that trouble will come as I look to heaven. - I will “be intentionally formed” by practicing spiritual disciplines each day. - I will “be reverently ambitious” letting my awe for God’s salvation in Christ propel me to love others in the Name of and for the sake of Jesus Christ.

    Dawn is Coming
    Trials will surely come for us, but take heart. There is victory to be shared! Are you familiar with suffering or difficult days? Peter encourages us to take hold of the hope and power we have because of Jesus. Keep going … Dawn is coming! My Next Step(s): - I will “name my pain” (but keep it in perspective, considering eternity’s glory.) - I will “walk” with Jesus during my trials. I am not alone. - I will “act as though” God’s plan is perfectly unfolding in my life, and praise Him. - I will “take up the slack” on the anchor of my soul to heaven, but serve God now.
