Mission Fund – Tornado Relief

In addition to any individual donations made directly to the Mid-South District in response to the devastating tornadoes in December, Redeemer donated $1,000 from our mission fund to the relief efforts.  You can read more HERE.  You can make donations to the mission fund any time using envelopes or online giving.  Thank you for enabling our congregation to be generous in so many ways.

Monday Night Men’s Fellowship

Starting on Monday, Jan. 24th from 8-9:30pm, the men will begin “The Book of Hebrews” using Right Now Media. Hebrews was written to people in crisis. They were persecuted, tempted by the rampant sin around them, and doubting their faith in Jesus. It was not so different than what many of us go through today. This group meets every other week on Zoom. Contact Blake for more information. 

Childcare to Reopen on January 16th

Starting on Sunday, January 16th, childcare will be available for infants and toddlers during the 10:45am Contemporary Worship Service. The nursery is located on the lower level of the building. Check-in will start at 10:30am. For more information contact Kerry

Thursday Evening Bible Study

Season 2 continues looking at the life of Jesus. Discover what it means when Jesus chooses you. This study will resume on Thursday, February 17th at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Companion books available from Amazon or Christian Books. Contact Rhonda for more information.

Communion Preparation

Redeemer by the Sea is looking for people willing to serve on the Communion Team for 2022. 
Communion team members will be responsible for serving communion two times per year for either the traditional 1st service, or the contemporary 2nd service. A schedule will be developed ahead of time so that you may plan accordingly.  Training will be provided. This is a great way to meet new people and be a part of your church.  Please contact Kay to take advantage of this opportunity to serve your church community.

Men’s Breakfast and Devotions

Mark your calendars for a Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 5th at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall. Breakfast is provided, followed by a time of devotion and prayer. Optional work projects at the church or in our community will follow. Open to all ages. Guests welcome! Register online HERE!

Wednesday Women’s Bible Study

The Wednesday Ladies will be starting a new Bible study called “Now That Faith Has Come” by Beth and Melissa Moore on Wednesday, February 9th at 9:15 am in the Fellowship Hall. This six-week study will dive into Paul’s captivating letter to the Galatians. Find out how everything has changed, now that faith has come. Companion Books are available. Offering Envelopes in Lobby

If you use offering evelopes, the boxes for 2022 are available in the lobby for you to pick up. If you would like a box, or need your box delivered, please contact Kay in the office. If you do not plan to use your envelopes, please return them to the office and let Kay know. Thank you.

Sunday Morning Youth Ministries

Our 5th through 12th Grade Youth Ministries meet on Sundays at 9:45am

Pre-Confirmation (5th & 6th Grades) taught by Jim Bennett, meets in room 2 and covers “100 Bible Stories” in two years.  This year they will be studying 50 stories from the Old Testament. 

Confirmation (7th & 8th Grades) taught by Jill Rutan, meets in room 3 and teaches Christian doctrine and a Bible overview over two years.  This year they will be studying the six chief parts of the Small Catechism. 

High School (9th through 12th grade) led by Pastor Augie and other leaders uses materials from RightNow Media and the “Live” High School curriculum.  Students discover the value of placing Jesus at the center of everything in their lives.

Sunday School – In Person

WE ARE CURRENTLY OFFERING IN-PERSON SUNDAY SCHOOL (PRE-K to 4TH) DURING THE 10:45AM SERVICE. Please check in your child in the lobby at the registration table before the service. Then take your child(ren) downstairs for Sunday School. You will pick them up at their classroom following the service.

Altar Flowers

Each Sunday we adorn our altar with fresh flowers for our worship services. If you would like to provide the flowers for a future Sunday, you can sign up and pay online HERE. The dates for 2022 have been added. Cost is $25 for one and $50 for both. Contact Kay if you have any questions.

The California Department of Public Health is now requiring that face coverings (masks) be worn while indoors in public places regardless of vaccination status. However, vaccinated attendees at religious worship services held indoors at places of worship are strongly recommended to wear masks in such settings.
