God brings light in the darkness, hope to the hopeless, and good news in a world filled with fear. The origin of everything is God! In the beginning God spoke and illuminated the vast and chaotic void. Next, He formed a people and a nation. God also had a plan, a vision, a covenant for His people. As we follow Him, He will continue to bring hope in the darkest of places. Join Redeemer by the Sea on a journey of hope as we walk through The Story, a chronological journey through the Bible. We will meet the God who made everything and discover that He still shines light in the darkest of places.

Sometimes life can be a battle. We feel surrounded and outnumbered. The good news is that we don’t have to be overcome or paralyzed by fear. Victory can be ours just like the courageous men and women who have followed God and experienced His presence and deliverance. Join us at Redeemer by the Sea Lutheran Church as we continue our journey through The Story and learn lessons of courage from Joshua and the Judges.

In the old West there always seemed to be different characters that could be called, “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” At Redeemer by the Sea we will gather to watch an even older drama unfold…the time of the ancient Kings of Israel. This was also a time of “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” These colorful leaders ranged from very evil and malevolent to very good and gracious. Some were faithful and others were rebellious toward God. As we look at their lives we will discover that each one of us makes choices and lives in ways that are good, bad, and ugly. We will hear the invitation from God to follow Him and become the good people he wants us to be. We will also learn about the grace of God that takes the “Bad,” and “Ugly” and makes them clean, beautiful, and good!

God wants to change this world and make it a better place. He wants to bring love to the hurting, compassion to the broken, truth to the wandering, and the amazing grace of Jesus to all people. Now, here’s the amazing thing…God’s plan to change the world can be summed up in two words, “The Church.” Not a building, but people who know and love Jesus. God is still constructing His church, a community of Jesus followers, and He wants to use us to change the world with His love and message. Join us for a four-week series focused on God’s plan to build a church that will change the world.
