Donation Match for Hurricane Ida and/or Afghanistan Refugees

There are two mission opportunities for you to support through Redeemer to help people in recent difficult situations. Redeemer will be supporting these two efforts through Samaritans Purse. We will be matching up to $1,500 to each effort, with a minimum of $1,000 to each. To have your donations matched by Redeemer, please make your donation HERE by SEPTEMBER 26TH.

Helping Desperate People Fleeing Afghanistan: Samaritan’s Purse recently deployed their DC-8 cargo jet loaded with 19 tons of medical kits, hygiene kits, blankets, and other critical items to assist those who have been evacuated from Afghanistan. The much-needed supplies are now being distributed in the region to those in great distress. The plane also carried members of their disaster assistance response team (DART), including medical personnel, to provide additional capacity to medical facilities that are treating the sick and suffering. They also have disaster response specialists working in five different locations where Afghanistan evacuees are temporarily staying.

Helping After Hurricane Ida: Samaritan’s Purse has three active bases in Louisiana to help those affected by the Hurricane. According to news reports, 75% of the structures were damaged or destroyed in one LA parish alone, leaving some 14,000 people without homes. These people have been through so much—they need our help and they need our prayers. Your donation will go to support the people affected by this disaster and the clean up needed in the wake of the storm.
