Choose Church
BEING CHALLENGE: Choose Church In the time when Jesus lived, the people assembled in either the temple or a synagogue. In all four Gospel accounts, on several different occasions, it is mentioned that Jesus was found at the temple or synagogues on a daily basis. Hebrews 10:25 exhorts us to “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Church is not just something we do to feel good, it is an important spiritual habit that Jesus practiced and God’s Word encourages.

    Seek Solitude
BEING CHALLENGE: Jesus had an extremely busy life. He was a very wanted man, crowds continually followed Him, pressed in on Him, and made requests of Him, etc. And yet, in the midst of all the busyness, Jesus was never so hurried that He missed out on the one person that He needed most. Solitude with God allowed Jesus to stay focused on the mission God called Him to. God has also called you to live on mission for Him.

Prayer was always a priority in the life of Jesus in every circumstance. Today we’ll learn about the keystone habit of prioritizing prayer in our lives.

BEING CHALLENGE: Study Scripture In the only documented story, we have of Jesus Christ as a grown child, we see Him at the temple talking with and learning from the scholars about the Scriptures. At the end of that story, in Luke 2:52, we are told that Jesus Christ continued to grow in wisdom. Are you continuing to grow in wisdom? Studying Scripture allows you to gain wisdom about who God is and about who you are as His child.

He committed to these men and did life with them. This week in the Being Challenge, we are looking at the importance of the people you surround yourself with.
